Electrical Engineers are the mainstay of every engineering activity. Electrical Engineering has for long accommodated two disciplines – Power and Communication.

Power engineers have concentrated on the infrastructural realms– power generation, transmission, distribution, equipment design (rotating & static), electrical drives, turn-key projects, consulting, etc. Communication engineers design, control and maintain instrumentation, control, data acquisition, metering accessories among others.

This department has various labs/workshops which are well equipped and are strengthened with modern equipment required for the conduct of experiments as per the curriculum and develops the required skills amongst students to cater to the needs of the present industry/ field and help students to get employment.
