The total land available in the campus is 01-86-35 Hectares (case for acquiring/transferring additional land 00-19-13 (1913 sq. mtrs), 00-05-65 (565 sq.mtrs), & 00-13-48 (1348 sq. mtrs) hectares have been initiated with the local revenue authorities in Dec 2015) to make it 02-05-48 hectares which was initially identified. •  Mock Drills on Disaster Management are conducted on regular basis in the institution.
•   Awareness regarding the Right to Vote is imparted by the Electoral Literacy Club of the institution.
•   Awareness regarding Startup India is imparted on regular basis.
•  World Health Day was celebrated in association with PHC Nagar whereby an awareness campaign amongst students was launched with regard to provisions of COTPA and general health issues especially ‘Diabetes” being theme of the year.
•  Environment Day was celebrated in association with NGO (Western Himalayas Environment Conservation Forum) run by Sh. P.D. Dogra Retd. Conservator of Forests. Independence Day was also celebrated.
•  National Day/Other important days are being celebrated from time to time. Engineers Day, Teachers Day is annually celebrated in the campus.
•  Blood Donation :– Faculty as well as students have donated the blood on “National Voluntary Blood Donation Day” & on the eve of “Gandhi Jayanti” in the institution under the supervision of Zonal Hospital Kullu.
•  Campus Beautification and development activities has been made under this various facilities like LED Street Lighting, CCTV have been installed in Administrative Block/Academic Block/Labs and Workshops. Home Guards Services are hired for making the campus safe and disciplined.
•  Tree plantation is carried out at regular intervals in the campus
•  Swachta Abhiyaan is being celebrated on weekly basis. Under this abhiyan, all the cannabis/opium plants have also been uprooted.
• Sports & Cultural Activities :- Students Regularly participate in various sports & cultural activities organised in various Polytechnics of H.P. as per the sports calendar issued by The Director, Technical Education for even & odd Semesters.

8. Transport Facilities with Details :

Presently institute has no transport facility of its own. However, for industrial tours & visits, buses are hired from H.R.T.C. To generate its own transportation facility, the case for purchase of 42 seater bus & Maruti Dzire car has been sent to the Directorate for further necessary approval.

9. Age of the Institute and its Achievements

Age of the Institute : Govt. Polytechnic Kullu at Seobagh has been established vide H.P. Govt. Notification No. EDN(TEA(6)-1/2009 dated 10/03/2011 with 02 disciplines namely Three Year Diploma in Civil Engg. & Elect. Engg. These courses were stared in the academic session 2013-14 in the campus of Govt. Polytechnic Sundernagar (Mentor Institute) with intake of 40 students in each branch. Thereafter, from the academic session 2015-16, the institute has started functioning from its own campus. From the academic session 2016-17, the intake capacity in both the disciplines has enhanced to 60 students. The construction work of all the three blocks out of five planned blocks has been completed. It includes Administrative Block, Academic Block and Workshop Block having Seminar Hall, Library, Computer Centre, Offices, Amenities, Guest Rooms, Labs of Different Disciplines, Workshops, Lecture Theatres, Class Room and Drawing Hall etc. which have been fully equipped with the latest machinery & equipments and other infrastructure as per the requirement of AICTE New Delhi norms & standards and HPTSB Dharamshala curriculum.

Its Achievements

•  The campus has been made Wi-Fi and free access is available to students & staff of the institution.
•  The installation of rooftop 5 KVA Solar Power Plant is completed. Solar water heater and 10 Nos. solar streetlights have already been installed in the campus; thereby saving electricity cost & helping in conservation of electricity.
•  Two 35 KVA Gen sets have been installed in the campus thus providing sufficient power back up, to have uninterrupted academic activities in the campus.
•  10 KVA & 6 KVA online-uninterrupted power supply (UPS) has also been installed in the computer center as well as in language lab respectively for continuous & cleaned backup for computer systems.
•  Fire Fighting System and Fire Extinguishers have been installed in the campus for safety purpose.
•  The institution has its own water lifting scheme thus providing the campus assured water round the clock.
•  Wheel chairs and Stretchers have been placed in all the blocks for PWDs.
•  The institute has its own 3-Phase Transformer with sanctioned load of 343 KW including contract demand of 100KVA for continuous power supply.
•  For the enforcement of COTPA regulation and Drug De-addition: the boards highlighting the bad effects of Drug Abuse stands displayed at various places in the campus and also on the boundaries.
•  The streetlights installed in the campus are time actuated and works automatically within set timings.
•  The passouts percentage of diploma students is 83 whereas all the passouts students of final year electrical engineering are placed as apprentice and on other posts.
